A 20-year-old man has admitted to his role in a Fairfield County gang and the murder of a victim in 2019.

Tyrone Moore, of Bridgeport, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, July 5, to one count of conspiracy to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity stemming from his involvement in the "East End gang," according to Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Avery said in pleading guilty to the charge, Moore admitted that he and another East End member fatally shot Shawn Warren, a member of rival "O.N.E. gang," on July 12, 2019.

The US Attorney's Office said Moore and other East End members also distributed drugs, such as heroin and crack cocaine, and committed acts of violence against rival gang members and others.

"East End members celebrated their criminal conduct on social media websites such as Facebook and YouTube, and committed acts of intimidation and made threats to deter potential witnesses to their crimes and to protect gang members and associates from detection and prosecution by law enforcement authorities," the announcement reads.

Avery said if the plea agreement is accepted by the court, the parties agreed to a sentence of between 20 and 30 years in prison.

Moore is detained pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled, Avery said.
