Household Items Needed For Shelton Eagle Scout Project To Help Veterans

SHELTON, Conn. — An Eagle Scout project is underway in Shelton Boys Scout Troop 25 to supply household items to local veterans.

<p>A Shelton Eagle Scout project involves collecting household items for Homes for the Brave. The organization in Bridgeport helps veterans who are working to get back to regular life after serving in the armed forces.</p>

A Shelton Eagle Scout project involves collecting household items for Homes for the Brave. The organization in Bridgeport helps veterans who are working to get back to regular life after serving in the armed forces.

The collection effort supports Homes for the Brave in Bridgeport.

The organization helps veterans by providing temporary housing, meals, life skills coaching, and job placement.

The following items are being collected until the end of May: 

  • 12-inch frying pan
  • One large saucepan
  • Silverware set for four
  • Four Place settings
  • Four-piece glassware
  • Cooking spoons, spatula
  • Laundry basket and 95 quart plastic container
  • Twin/full sheet set
  • Bath towel set
  • Can opener
  • First aid kit

Drop off the items May 1 to 31 at the Shelton Police Station, 85 Wheeler St.
