Led by Kevin McBride, project director of the Battlefields of the Pequot War Project, this event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Culinary Arts Dining Room on NCC's West Campus at 7:30 p.m.
The Pequot War was more than 375 years ago and pinned Native Americans against the English across the Northeast. Musket balls, gun parts, native brass points, withdrawal routes and other artifacts have been recovered and discovered since the end of the war in 1637.
McBride has used both research and archaeology to study the series of battles spanning Rhode Island and New York as well as the Connecticut towns of Groton, Old Saybrook, Wethersfield and Fairfield.Refreshments will be served at the meeting.
