CT Police Officer Arrested For 'Slapping' Prisoner In Face While In Hospital, Cops Say
A Connecticut police officer was charged with breach of peace after he allegedly slapped a prisoner who was handcuffed to a hospital bed. Hartford Police Officer Marcello Confeiteiro was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and released on a promise to appear. According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, Confeiteiro was guarding a prisoner on Thursday, July 18, at an area hospital when the prisoner -- who at the time had one arm handcuffed to a hospital bed -- assaulted him by punching and spitting in his face. Police Officer In Connecticut Accused Of Patronizing A Prostitute
A Connecticut police officer has been charged with allegedly patronizing a prostitute. New Haven Police Officer Christopher Troche was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 21, after turning himself in at the department, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police. The investigation into Troche's action began in April when a New Haven Police officer was approached by a woman reporting unwanted contact Troche, Shumway said.
