'Enough is Enough': Food Service Workers At Norwalk Hospital Announce Plans For Strike
Food service workers at Connecticut Hospital will go on strike later this month for what they said is a long pattern of unfair treatment and broken promises. Represented by Connecticut Health Care Associates 1199, the workers at Norwalk Hospital have given their employer Morrison Healthcare a 10-day notice of their intent to strike beginning on Monday, Nov. 25. State regulators in Connecticut are hitting the brakes and suspending Eversource’s rate increase after hearing a cacophony of complaints from customers. Fairfield County Substance Abuse Treatment Provider Pays $295K For Improper Billing
A substance abuse treatment center with locations in Fairfield County has agreed to pay nearly $300,000 to settle allegations of improper billing over the course of several months. Connecticut Counseling Centers (CCC), which operates methadone clinics in Danbury and throughout Connecticut, will pay the state and federal government $295,211 in a settlement involving overpaying for drug testing, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced.
