RPM Raceway To Open Soon In Poughkeepsie Galleria

The quarter-mile indoor go-kart track at the Poughkeepsie Galleria will soon be waving the checkered flag again.

RPM Raceway will open in Dutchess County.

RPM Raceway will open in Dutchess County.

RPM Raceway announced this week that it will be opening a new location before the end of the year in the Galleria, near the movie theater. It will replace K1 Speed, which shuttered its doors to members earlier this year.

The company said that it will feature a “European-style” track, and its karts will travel upwards of 45 mph at top speed.

The Poughkeepsie location replaces RPM’s location in Buffalo, which was shut down last month. It is expected to provide nearly two dozen jobs in the area.

“RPM Raceway is relocating their all-electric indoor karting and entertainment destination at Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY to a new home in Poughkeepsie,” RPM posted on Twitter.

“During this transition, RPM Raceway will continue to provide its premiere racing experience at its other locations in Rochester, Syracuse, Long Island, Jersey City and Stamford.”
