RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — The Ridgefield Library will host a debate among the local candidates for the State House and the State Senate.
The debate, sponsored by the League of Women Voters State, will be Thursday, Oct. 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The candidates in attendance will be:
- State Senate District 26 candidates: Republican incumbent Toni Boucher and Democratic challenger Phil Scharlach, both of Wilton;
- State House District 111 candidates: Republican incumbent John Frey and Democratic challenger Sky Cole, both of Ridgefield;
- State House District 138 candidates: Republican incumbent Jan Giegler and Democratic challenger Henry Hall, both from Danbury.
Attendees can submit questions in writing before the debate begins.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages active, informed participation in government and voting. The event is free and open to the public.
The Ridgefield Library is located at 472 Main St.
