Stamford Motorist Driving Without Headlights On Charged With DUI, Greenwich Police Say

A Stamford driver was charged with drunk driving in Greenwich after being pulled over or having no headlights on.

He was traveling east on Delevan Avenue between Meade Avenue and TIngue Street Sunday, July 21 at 3:55 a.m. when police noticed the headlights were not on according to Greenwich Police.

The vehicle reportedly was crossing over the double-yellow line into the westbound lane of travel, said police.

A traffic stop revealed there was no registration and the driver had no operator's license, according to police.

During the motor vehicle stop, allegedly an odor of alcohol was noticed on the driver Danny Alexander Dominguez-Grijalba.

The driver was asked to take field sobriety tests which he reportedly did and did not perform to standards, Greenwich Police said.

He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs; failure to drive in proper lane; operating a motor vehicle without a license; failure to display lights.

Dominguez-Grijalba is due in Stamford court Monday, Aug. 5
