Ridgefield Resident Charged With DWI In NY State Police Stop

Nine area motorists were among 13 impaired drivers that were removed from Hudson Valley roadways by New York State Police troopers.

Local residents charged include:

Dutchess County

  • On Friday, Nov. 22, State Police from Stormville arrested Allison Emig, 45, of East Fishkill, for DWI. She was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Nov. 22, State Police from Wappinger arrested Juan D. Munera, 33, of Beacon, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 52 in the town of Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 23, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Michael J. Heckmann, 52, of Pleasant Valley, for DWI. He was located on Margaret Court in the town of Pleasant Valley, when he was the subject of a loud music complaint, and found sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in gear. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 23, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested Artreio J. Robertson, 49, of Hyde Park, for DWI with two prior convictions within ten years, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, both felonies. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the town of Hyde Park, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 24, State Police from Wappinger arrested Elisa A. Giorgio, 44, of Wappinger, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law, a class E felony. She was traveling on Ervin Road in the town of Wappinger, when she was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol with a child under the age of sixteen, and was subsequently arrested.

Westchester County

  • On Saturday, Nov. 23, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Andrew J. Smith, 35, of Greenburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the city of Yonkers, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 23, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Manuel A. Lucero, 26, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the village of Ossining, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, State Police from Brewster arrested Guillermo A. Diaz, 40, of Hartsdale, for DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Sunday, Nov. 24, State Police from Brewster arrested Gary W. Chamberlain, 35, of Ridgefield, for DWI. He was traveling on I-84 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
