RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - A Danbury woman wanted in the theft of jewelry from a Ridgefield home turned herself in to police Tuesday, Ridgefield police said.
Ridgefield police had a warrant for her arrest.
In a report, the Ridgefield police say that Rosemary Fernandez-Vargas, 30, was charged with second-degree larceny of jewelry from a Ridgefield home that she had been contracted to work in.
The report did not give an estimated amount stolen, but according to Connecticut State Statute, second-degree larceny is the theft of $5,000 to $10,000 worth of items.
Fernandez-Vargas was released on $25,000 bond and is due at Danbury Superior Court on June 11.
