RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - New Jersey police have charged two men in connection with the shooting death of Ridgefield resident Brian Schiavetti last summer, and both pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
According to CBS New York, Ernest Williams and James Pitts, both of Montclair, N.J., appeared in court Tuesday in the death of Schiavetti. Williams faces charges of felony murder, murder, robbery, conspiracy and weapons offenses. Pitts is charged with robbery conspiracy and conspiracy to violate narcotics laws, CBS New York reported.
Schiavetti was found by Montclair police in the evening of July 22 on the first floor of an apartment. Schiavetti, a graduate of Ridgefield High School, would have graduated from Villanova University this spring.
