RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - A man was charged with evading police after a minor two-car accident, Ridgefield police said.

Police responded to a call at Copps Hill Plaza for a hit-and-run accident. Witnesses were able to provide a registration number and a description of the driver, which lead officers to 38-year-old Kevin Brown of Ridgefield, police said.

According to the report, Brown was charged with evading police and driving with a suspended license. Upon further investigation, it was found that Brown had an outstanding warrant out of Hamden for a parole violation.

Brown was held on $5,000 bond for the parole violation and $100 for evading police. He was due at Danbury Superior Court on June 14. The result of his court date is unknown.
