It happened Geronimo's Tequila Bar on Post Road in Fairfield at about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11.

Fairfield Police officers responded to Geronimo's Tequila Bar for a report of a physical fight inside the restaurant.

The manager reported the staff "cut off" the family from alcoholic drink service because they became intoxicated and agitated, according to police.

The manager made several attempts to speak with them until he was knocked to the floor and punched several times by one of the members of the group, police said.

The manager sustained a laceration and swelling on his face and bruising and his glasses were also broken during the altercation, said police.

As a result of this initial altercation, several staff members assisted in removing the family from inside the restaurant where impartial witnesses stated their behavior was belligerent and confrontational, according to police.

Fairfield residents Kathleen Allen, 53, Clifford Richard Allen, 59, Catherine Mary Allen, 23, Hannah Allen, 21, who all live at the same address, and Harry Warnick, 25, who lives at a different address in Fairfield, were charged with disorderly conduct and released on a written promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Monday, Aug. 26.
