The 2013 Audi S5 was reportedly stolen between 2:40 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. from a driveway on Barrack Hill Road, according to the Ridgefield Press. It was recovered in Waterbury at around 4:30 p.m. with a flat tire and a damaged rim, according to the Ridgefield Press.
Several items including a wallet and a watch were stolen from the car, and the damage is reported to cost more than $10,000, according to the Ridgefield Press. The owner told the Ridgefield Press that the car had an after market exhaust, which would made a loud sound, so the thieves must have rolled it out of the driveway.
Thieves also tried to enter two other cars in Ridgefield that night on Oak Knoll Road and Armand Road, but gave up when they realized the cars were locked, according to the Ridgefield Press. Police are reminding residents to lock their cars and remove valuables.
