RIDGEFIELD, Conn. Brian Schiavetti, 21, of Ridgefield, was fatally shot Sunday at 6:40 p.m. in Montclair, N.J.
Montclair police responding to reports of gunfire found Schiavetti with gunshot wounds in the hallway of a multi-unit dwelling, according to New Jersey.com. He was pronounced dead on scene.
An earlier statement from Andrew Ambrose, chief detective of the Essex County Prosecutors Office, stated that the initial investigation indicated that Schiavetti had been targeted in the shooting. He also said that the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident.
Schiavetti graduated in 2009 from Ridgefield High School, where he played football and lacrosse and was described as being a good student. He was currently enrolled in the business school at Villanova University and scheduled to graduate in 2013.
According to Schiavettis LinkedIn profile, he was working as a summer intern at Thomson Reuters in the Information Technology and Services Department.

No new information about the investigation was available from the Essex County Prosecutors Office. Montclair Police could not be contacted regarding the investigation.
A family representative who answered a call at the Schiavetti home said Brians mother, Diane, wasnt available and asked that the family be left alone to grieve.
