RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - James F. Feenan of Ridgefield died Sunday, June 1. He was 78.
Feenan was born to Herbert and Louise Feenan, and grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. He attended All Hallows High School and Manhattan College, Boston Law School and Fordham Law School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 on the USS Norton; a guided missile vessel and as well in Guam. He was a professional in commercial real estate. He worked for Colt, RCA, Equitable, GECapital, Volkswagen and Xerox.
He resided in Ridgefield from 1971 through 1985 and then moved to the New Jersey shore before returning to Ridgefield in 2009.
Feenan is survived by his children, MaryLouise Neville, James Francis Feenan (Maria), Thomas Michael Feenan, Karen Ann Feenan, Brian Eugene Feenan (Christine), and Tara Feenan; his former wife, Joan Marlin; and eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Gerard Feenan.
Calling hours are Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield.
