CLEARWATER, Fla. - Hilda Feneley of Clearwater, formerly of Ridgefield died March 17. She was 83.
Feneley was born Oct. 26, 1930, she was the daughter of Eva and Fred Nelson. She was raised in New Bedford, Mass. She graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She practiced pediatric nursing at MGH. She lived with her husband in Ridgefield from 1963 to 1986 before moving to Clearwater.
She was a member of the Ridgefield Visiting Nurses Association. She also volunteered at the Ridgefield Thrift Shop for many years.
Feneley is survived by her sons, Craig (Mary) Feneley of Herndon, Va., and Scott (Donna) Feneley of Monroe, Conn.; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, James S. Feneley; brother, James Nelson; and son, James Nelson Feneley.
Memorial services will take place Monday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 351 Main St., Ridgefield with Rev. Whitney Altopp, Rector, officiating. Burial will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery, Ridgefield.
