RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Elsie (Torcellini) Bartolucci, of Ridgefield, died Friday, March 29. She was 91.
Bartolucci was born in North Salem, N.Y., Feb. 28, 1922, daughter of Nazzareno and Matilda (Pateriani) Torcellini. At the age of five, she relocated to Ridgefield with her family, attended Ridgefield schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School in the class of 1940.
Bartolucci was a hostess at the former Elm’s Inn of Ridgefield. Together with her husband, they co-owned the former Wayside Market and Liquor Store of Ridgefield. She was a member of the Italian Ladies Mutual Aid Society of Ridgefield and St. Mary Parish.
Bartolucci is survived by a son, Alfred Bartolucci (Susan) of Ridgefield; sisters, Ann T. Buccitti and Louise T. Main both of Ridgefield; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 2 at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield with Fr. Peter Smolik, parochial vicar, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
