RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- To welcome the summer season, Ridgefield's Martin Park Beach and Lake will offer free admission throughout Memorial Day weekend.
Admission will be free on the opening weekend on May 24 to May 26, according to the Ridgefield Parks and Recreation. The park, located at 19 Great Pond Road, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Lifeguard staff will be on standby during operating hours from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day. Beach activities include sandy beaches, Wibit Slide, Zoom Floom, water mat, boat rentals and beach volleyball.
Seasonal memberships are available for Ridgefield residents and nonresidents.
Individual membership fees start at $88 for residents and $113 for nonresidents. The fee is $103 for nonresident seniors, with free entrance for Ridgefield seniors ages 60 and up. Family memberships are also available. A guest card will be given to each member, which is valid for four free visits by a guest.
Daily drop-in admission fees for Ridgefield residents are $15 per person, $20 per person for nonresidents. Senior residents are free and senior nonresidents are $18 or free if accompanied by a member.
