Get Ready For The Fourth Of July Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - In observance of the Fourth of July, residents are reminded local government offices and the Ridgefield Library are closed.

Although, that might not be all that's closed. According to the National Weather Service, there is a possiblity for showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon.

However, the service says any rain and storms should take place before 9 p.m. but could be "capable of producing brief heavy rainfall" and "gusty winds and small hail."

This could put a dent into the fireworks display at Ridgefield High School. Residents should keep an eye on the Town Hall website for updates.

If the fireworks are cancelled due to weather, the rain date will be Saturday at the same location.
