RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Trick-or-treaters will have to wait another year to go out hunting for candy in Ridgefield. The town has decided to forego the holiday after it was canceled by Hurricane Sandy.
"Given the exhaustion of police, fire and volunteer personnel, and with the fast-approaching Thanksgiving holiday, Halloween has become something of the past," said First Selectman Rudy Marconi in his robo-call to the town.
A further concern was the continued work being done on wires and trees around town.
