RIDGEFIELD, Conn. Book lovers rejoice: More than 30,000 items will be on sale at the semiannual Ridgefield Library fall book sale this weekend.
Spanning four days starting Friday, the book sale will fill the Yanity Gym, 60 Prospect St. All of the proceeds will go to the library.
Each day will be slightly different. From 9 a.m. to noon Friday is free to members of the Friends of the Ridgefield Library or $10 for nonmembers. The rest of the day, from noon to 8 p.m., will be open to the public.
On Sunday, all books will be half price, and the book sale be open for only a half-day, noon to 5 p.m. For those patient book lovers, on Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. you pay $5 for every bag you fill with books.
Here is the book sale schedule:
Friday, Oct. 19: 9 a.m. to noon for early buying, and noon to 8 p.m. for all.
Saturday, Oct. 20: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 21: noon to 5 p.m. All books will be half price.
Monday, Oct.22: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bag of books for $5.
For those unable to get to the book sale in person, the Friends of the Library are on Amazon.com and have more than 2,600 items on sale that benefit the library as well.
