Rosh Hashanah: All Day. The Ridgefield Public Schools are closed for the day to celebrate the Jewish New Year. Ridgefield Public Schools, Ridgefield.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

Ridgefield Rotary Sunrise and Quality Living: 7 a.m. The Ridgefield Rotary Sunrise has invited the Ridgefield Visiting Nurses Association to speak at its meeting. Public Hearing on Deer Hunt: 7 p.m. A public hearing will be held to receive comments on the following proposed locations for the 2012-13 controlled deer hunt: Levy Park, Shadow Lake, Laurel Lane, Linden Road, Scodon Drive/Pheasant Lane, Between Old Trolley and Shadow Lake, Ridgefield Municipal Golf Course, Reed Park, Spectacle Swamp, Schlumberger property and Keeler Court.
