Ridgefield's Ballard Park Hosting Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The third Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off will take place at Ballard Park in Ridgefield on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pumpkin growers from around the region will compete for cash prizes. The weigh-off begins at noon, which will be followed by an award ceremony.

The event will also include music; kids' crafts and activities; a pumpkin-carving demonstration; food and ice cream; exhibitors; shopping; farm stands; and the opportunity to meet the pumpkin growers and learn about pumpkin growing.
