Ridgefield Playhouse Production To Feature Broadway Star

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield resident Adam Safir's latest work "Kilty's Revolt" is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse in October and will star a Broadway actress.

The show, which will begin performances on Oct. 7, stars Kate Fahrner who has starred as Glinda in Broadway's "Wicked." The show "Kilty's Revolt" is set during the American Revolution at a tobacco plantation, a tavern and battlefields of Brandywine and Yorktown, according to a news release from the playhouse. 

"It dramatizes the passion and promise and the difficult decisions that went into our country’s founding," representatives said in the release. 

The show also features Sarah Heinzmann who leads a chorus of Ridgefield High School students and local actors who will play lead parts alongside Fahrner, according to the release. 

Safir is a Ridgefield resident and president of Vigilant Resources International. The show will be directed by Michael Alltop, who is also from Ridgefield.
