RIDGEFILED, Conn. -- Science Careers magazine has ranked Boehringer Ingelheim ninth out of 20 for its exceptional workplace environment, based on its annual Top Employers Survey. The Ridgefield-based company, which also has offices in Danbury, has been in the top 20 for nine straight years.
The survey is distributed to employees in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries and associated businesses.
"It’s a tremendous honor to be ranked so well for a ninth year in a row. We owe our company’s success to our people and we invest in them accordingly. It is rewarding when this is recognized by a third party," said Dr. James Baxter, senior vice president of development in a release.
“Our company mantra, ‘More Health,’ not only guides the work we do for our patients but also how we treat our employees," Baxter added.
Boehringer Ingelheim's focus is primarily in the therapeutic areas of cardiovascular disease, respiratory diseases, diseases of the central nervous system, metabolic diseases, virological diseases and oncology.
