Young Swimmers Compete in Norwalk Meet

NORWALK, Conn. – Swimmers from the Zeus Swim team competed last weekend at the Marie Corridon Mortell Invitational at Norwalk High School.

The meet for swimmers ages 10-and-under honored Mortell, who won a gold medal in the Summer Olympics in 1948. The Norwalk native was a member of the freestyle relay team that won Olympic gold.

Swimmers from Greenwich, Stamford and Darien were also among the competitors.
