NORWALK, Conn. – Eight Connecticut Boat Club (CBC) athletes were invited to USRowing’s highly competitive Development, High Performance and U19 Selection camps based in New London, Connecticut.
Nationwide, only 40 athletes were invited to U19 selection camp, twenty-five athletes were invited to High Performance camp, and 40 athletes were invited to Development camp.
Five elite CBC athletes will go on to compete either at the World Rowing Junior Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands (eighteen rowers overall plus one coxswain will represent Team USA), 2016 CanAmMex Regatta (Canada, America, Mexico) in Sarasota, Florida (twelve rowers overall plus one coxswain will represent Team USA), or Club Nationals in Bethel, Ohio (twenty-two rowers overall plus three coxswain will represent USRowing as the High Performance team).
