Norwalks baseball team continued its pursuit of the No. 2 seed in the upcoming FCIAC tournament with a 5-1 victory over Westhill Thursday at Malmquist Field. The Bears (14-5 overall, 14-3 FCIAC) complete their regular season Friday with a game at Fairfield Warde.
James Cooksey improved to 5-0 for the Bears, who can lock up the No. 2 seed with a win Friday. Leon Fleming had two hits, including a solo home run, to lead the Bears offensively. Norwalk also made several sparkling defensive plays behind Cooksey.
