Norwalk Junior Blue Girl's Lacrosse Team Wins Icebreaker Tournament

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Junior Blue girl’s lacrosse team traveled to Brookfield on Sunday, April 10 and won the 2016 Icebreaker Tournament in the junior division against Brewster Green.

The Norwalk Junior Blue girl’s lacrosse team traveled to Brookfield on Sunday, April 10 and won the 2016 Icebreaker Tournament in the junior division against Brewster Green.

The team finished undefeated at 5-0, beating Brewster Green in the championship game by a score of 6-1. 

En route to the finals, they beat Brookfield Juniors 6-1, Brewster White 5-0, Relax Black 9-1 and New Fairfield 8-1. 

The winning team consisted of 18 players who rotated positions throughout the tournament. 

Players included Lyla Brasher, Ella Corry, Alex Cullen, KK Geignetter, Mia Geignetter, Ava Greco, Sofia Imbrogno, Lily Koerner, Grace L’Archevesque, Olivia Mattera, Sophia Morales, Lila Pinho, Anna Reynolds, Courtney Sharkey, Zarah Solano, Sara Spielman, Morgan White and the team’s goalie Morgan Carroll. 

The team is coached by Matt White, Pete Koerner and Matt Corry.
