The Liberty, sponsored by Bondi Realty, capped an undefeated season in the Norwalk Athletic Association girls basketball league with a big victory over the Blizzard in the 6-9 age division championship game Saturday at Nathan Hale Middle School.
The Liberty, 14-0, used a sticky 2-3 zone defense to hold the Blizzard, sponsored by King Industry, scoreless in the first half. Team members include Michelle Menard, Carina DeBlasi, Jennifer Garcia, Leslie Rivas, Kaitlyn Covello, Sienna Santiago, Tamia Fulton, Shaynne Bullock and Kristen Butler. The team is scored by Bert Santiago and Rick Fulton.
