Come Discuss After School Care

Come discuss the state of Norwalk's after school programs.  Today, May 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall, several local organizations are holding a community conversation on after school care. "We want to make sure that after school programs are safe, academic and provide lifelong learning experiences," says Lauren Rosato, president of Norwalk Education Foundation, one of the organizers of the event. "We also want to know what we can do better and what role Norwalk Public Schools should have in after school care."

"Our goal is to create a supportive learning environment to make sure that kids are reaching their potential," says Rosato.

This event is sponsored by NEON, Inc (Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now), Norwalk Children's Foundation, Family & Children's Agency, SAVE (Serving All Vessels Equally), Norwalk Housing Authority, CT AFter School Network, Fairfield County Community Foundation, Norwalk Education Foundation with support from GE Capital and Norwalk Community College.
