Reckless Driver In CT Found Speeding At 120 MPH In 65 MPH Zone, Police Say

A trooper saw a silver Mercedes speeding on Route 8 northbound in the Litchfield County town of Harwinton, according to a report from Connecticut State Police on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The trooper reported seeing the Mercedes cutting in and out of traffic prior to Exit 43, police said. 

Authorities said the driver, whose identity was not released, was given a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving.

"We want to remind everyone to please take is slow and obey all traffic laws so that you, your passengers, and others on the road can arrive to your desired destination safely," State Police said.
