Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Suspect Who Snatched Purse From Elderly Woman In Danbury

Police in Danbury are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect involved snatching an elderly woman’s purse outside a church.

Over the weekend, the Danbury Police Department released an alert announcing that they are investigating a purse snatching incident that took place at approximately 7 p.m. on Oct. 22 on Center Street, near St. Peter’s Church.

Police said that surveillance video of the suspect showed that he was wearing a blood hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and light shoes at the time of the snatching. The video also showed several people that were in the area at the time of the incident.

Witnesses, or anyone who may have any information regarding the purse snatching case has been asked to contact investigators at the Danbury Police Department Detective Bureau by calling (203) 797-4662.
