NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police officers showed their support for the Special Olympics on Friday when they carried the torch as part of the Connecticut Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The torch run began on Wednesday and lasted through Friday. Over the course of three days, more than 3,500 law enforcement officers, volunteers and Special Olympics athletes ran more than 500 miles through 100 cities and towns statewide.
The Connecticut Special Olympics Summer Games will kick off Friday evening at 7:15 p.m. with Opening Ceremonies at Southern Connecticut State University, and will last through Sunday. Click here for more information.
