Police responded to the parking lot on North Water Street at around 11 p.m. on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle, and found a Ford Explorer with the engine running and a woman sleeping in the back seat, the Hour reported. Police told the Hour that there was crack cocaine in plain view next to the person, identified as 31-year-old Rose Capece of Prospect.
The officer woke up Capece, who said that the crack was make-up, according to the Hour. When they searched her car, they also found wax folds with heroin residue, a contact lens container with crack cocaine, five oxycodone pills, marijuana and a crack pipe, the Hour reported. They also found a stun gun in her purse, according to the Hour.
Capece was charged with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, failure to keep narcotics in their original container, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana. She was given a $5,000 bond and a court date of Nov. 2.
