A man was arrested for allegedly choking another person during an argument, said Norwalk Police.

The incident took place around 9:52 a.m., Friday, April 19, when the Norwalk Police Department was contacted about the attack, said Norwalk Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino.

When police arrived on the scene at the Adamson Avenue home they found the victim who told them that a verbal argument turned into a physical confrontation where Brian James, 46, allegedly grabbed the victim by the neck, making the victim unable to breathe, Gulino said.

James then told the victim to get out of the house. The victim left and called the police.

Officers attempted to make contact with James, who initially would not open the door. Eventually, officers made contact with James and he was arrested without incident, she added.

He was charged with disorderly conduct and strangulation and held on $10,000 bond.
