Man Dies After Falling From Bridge Onto West Avenue In Norwalk

Updated, 7:45 p.m. NORWALK, Conn. -- A man died after falling from the I-95 bridge onto West Avenue in Norwalk Friday afternoon, according to police.

The incident occurred at 3:23 p.m. when a man fell from the bridge onto the road. Police have confirmed that the male victim had died. The name of the victim is being withheld until notification of the family.

As of 7:30 p.m. all southbound lanes and one northbound lane on West Avenue are open.

Police are currently looking for witnesses to the incident. Anyone who was traveling on I-95 southbound near West Avenue (exit 15) in Norwalk immediately prior to 3:23 p.m. and saw a man walking on I-95 is asked to call Detective Courtney Downer at (203) 854-3182.
