Greenwich Firefighters Respond To Pair Of Fires Thursday

GREENWICH, Conn. — Nobody was reported hurt after Greenwich firefighters responded to an HVAC unit on fire on the roof of a bank across from the Glenville Volunteer Fire Company station Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded at about 7:30 a.m., the Glenville Volunteer Fire Company posted on its Facebook page. It was the first of two fires Thursday as firefighters responded to a noontime fire at a Buckfield Lane home. 

Firefighting units cleared the scene just before 1 p.m., according to Greenwich Professional Firefighters Local 1042, which posted the information on its Twitter feed. 

There were no reports of injuries and the extent of the damage was not available.

Greenwich Bank & Trust is located at 273 Glenville Road.
