CT Man Passed Out At Gas Pump Nabbed With Drugs, Police Say

A Connecticut man was arrested after allegedly passing out in his vehicle high on drugs.

Hartford County resident Ibrahim Alfolabi, age 30, of Manchester, was arrested around 1:32 a.m., Thursday, April 22, after officers with the Plainfield Police Department saw the clerk of the Citgo gas station located at 65 East Main Street banging on the window of a blue Saturn parked at the gas pumps, said Plainfield Chief of Police Mario A. Arriaga.  

The driver, later identified as Alfolabi appeared to be unresponsive in the vehicle.

As the officers approached the vehicle Alfolabi became alert and exited. An investigation was conducted and Alfolabi was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, fentanyl, ecstasy, and a controlled substance all packaged for sale, Arriaga said.

Alfolabi was also in possession of a large quantity of money and a crack pipe all of which were seized as evidence.

The Officer’s K-9 Vail was used to sniff Alfolabi’s vehicle where he alerted to the presence of narcotics, and fentanyl was subsequently located.

Alfolabi was placed under arrest and charged with:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell
  • Possession of Crack cocaine with intent to sell
  • Possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held at the Plainfield Police Department on a $50,000.00 bond pending his arraignment.
