Caught On Camera: Suspect Burglarizing Vehicles In Norwalk

Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a suspect who was caught on camera burglarizing several cars in the area over the weekend.

The Norwalk Police Department released surveillance photos of the suspect, who was caught on camera at approximately 2 a.m. on March 24 after burglarizing three unlocked vehicles in the Deepwood Lane and Knollwood Road neighborhood.

The African American suspect can be seen in the photo looking into a vehicle wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Police said that residents should ensure that they lock up their cars at night, removing any keys and all valuables from the vehicle. Anyone who can identify or recognizes the suspect has been asked to contact investigating Det. Podgorski by calling (203) 854-3192.

Anonymous tips can also be provided by calling (203) 854-3111 or on the Norwalk Police Department website. Tips can also be submitted by typing “NPD” into a text message and sending the tip to CRIMES (274637).
