Tarsha (Simms) Scovens, 45, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Tarsha (Simms) Scovens, 45, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, July 29.

She was born Jan. 14, 1970, to the late Travis Simms, Sr. and Barbara Paulk. 

Scovens was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. She attended local schools and graduated from Norwalk High School.

In addition to her husband, Carl Scovens, Sr., she is survived by two daughters Carissah Scovens and Shanyra Miller, both of Norwalk; one son, Roger Travon Simms; two stepsons Carl Scovens, Jr. and Kiyle Clark, and one grandson Cameren Scovens, all of Norwalk; four sisters, all of Norwalk; five brothers, all of Norwalk; three sisters-in-law of Norwalk and New Haven, Connecticut; one brother-in-law of Hartford, Connecticut; and various aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Travis Simms, Sr., and two brothers.

A celebration of her life with a viewing will be held Saturday, Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. at the Miracle Temple Church of God In Christ, 2 Trinity Place, Norwalk, with Apostle Michael Densmore officiating. Service will follow at 10 a.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Services, Inc., 84 South Main Street, Norwalk.
