NORWALK, Conn. – Samuel J. Festa, 89, of Norwalk, died Saturday, April 4, at Griffin Hospital.
He was born in Norwalk to Generoso and Amelia (DeVito) Festa.
He was a World War II veteran who served in Europe,
He was a retired masonry contractor and an avid reader.
He is survived by his siblings Mary Manzi, Josephine Purcell, Faye DuBois, Anna Reda, Pat Festa, Rose Russo, Helen Barati and Matilda Besaw.
He was predeceased by his brother Alfred J. Festa
Visitation will be on Friday, April 10, from 5-8 p.m., at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlin Place, Norwalk. Burial with military honors to be held at a later date.
