He was born July 20, 1948, in New York City to Robert Sanders Davies and Faraday Benedict Davies. He graduated from the Kent School and Princeton University and served in the Army. He worked as an investment adviser and was a co-founder of Beacon Capital LLC in Darien.
An avid golfer, Davies could often be found at Oak Hills Park Golf Course. He also was a longtime member of the Norwalk Yacht Club and Roton Point Club.
Davies is survived by his wife, Katrina Noble Davies; two children, Ben (Lauren) Davies, of Fairfield, and Liza (Keefer) Douglas, of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Sanders Davies, of Norwalk, and Allan Davies, of Arlington, Mass.; his stepmother, Marjorie Davies, of White Plains, N.Y.; and two grandchildren and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents; and his stepmother, Audrey Billings Davies.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at United Church of Rowayton. Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Emig Foundation, P.O. Box 58, Rowayton, CT 06853, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or a favorite charity.
