NORWALK, Conn. – Richard Gasparino of Norwalk died Nov. 24 at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. He was 65.
Gasparino was born March 27, 1947, to Anthony and Victoria Mazzone Gasparino. He sang with the Sacred Heart Church choir for many years and more recently with the St. Philip Church choir.
He enjoyed sports, especially the New York Yankees, Knicks, Rangers and Giants, as well as the UConn Huskies basketball and football teams.
Gasparino is survived by a brother, Anthony (Claudia), of Palm Coast, Fla.; a sister, Rosemary (Louis) Fabion, of Fairfield; and several nieces and a nephew.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Philip Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Foundation for Transplants.
