Lillian Houghtaling, 95, Norwalk Machine Operator

NORWALK, Conn. – Lillian Nault Picard Houghtaling of Norwalk died Nov. 24 at Hancock Hall in Danbury. She was 95.

Houghtaling was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Woonsocket, R.I., to Adeslas and Emilia Pierson Nault. She was a retired machine operator for Yankee Metal, where she worked for 31 years. She was a member of the French-American Club and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children, Alice Molles, of Danbury, Florence (John) deStefano, of Palm Coast, Fla., Edward (Thea) Picard, of Westport, and Paul (Sharon) Picard, of Mount Airy, N.C.; a sister, Theresa Pollander, of Bethel, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Houghtaling was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard Picard, and her second husband, James Houghtaling.

Services were held Monday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk.
