NORWALK, Conn. – Elyse Gammer, 64, of Norwalk, died suddenly Wednesday, July 1 at Norwalk Hospital.
Born in Norwalk April 23, 1951, she was the daughter of Ernest Gammer and the late Dorothy Bobrowsky Gammer. Gammer had a distinguished and award-winning career in marketing research and as an association management executive. She was a past president of the national Marketing Research Association (MRA) and served as chair of the Marketing Research Association’s Professional Standards Committee.
An industry leader, she was a well-known guest speaker at conferences and meetings. In addition to her many professional accomplishments, she was devoted to her family and enjoyed entertaining and hosting her family’s activities, especially on holidays.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her sister, Barbara Gammer of Bridgeport; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a myriad of friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
Donations in her memory may be made by planting trees in Israel or to a charity of one’s choice.
