NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Carmine F. Pote died on Thursday, Jan. 14. She was 89.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Pote was a builder of quality homes throughout Fairfield County.
He and his wife enjoyed boating and traveling the world, and he had been a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. In his later years, he enjoyed family, friends and gardening.
Pote is survived by his wife; sons Richard Pote of West Haven and Robert Pote of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister Ann Blauvelt of Danbury; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Pote, and all of his six brothers.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery.
