Norwalk Man Charged With Indecent Exposure After Victim Follows To Get Plate Number

A man was charged with alleged indecent exposure after he exposed himself to a woman while she was walking in Fairfield County.

The incident took place in Norwalk around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, on Fillow Street.

According to Lt. Joe Dinho of the Norwalk Police, the woman that while she was walking on Monday, May 1, a man in a white Kia Sportage SUV drove up to her and the driver exposed his genitals he then drove off.

The woman told police that the vehicle’s rear license plate was covered with white cardboard. 

The following day, the woman was walking on Fillow Street again when she saw the same SUV drive by being driven by the same, and the license plate was covered again, Dinho said.

She followed the vehicle, and when it was parked, the man removed the cardboard covering the license plate and she was able to record the registration; she then came to police headquarters to report the incident, he added.

Patrol officers investigating the incident were able to locate the vehicle and its driver, identified as Antonio Marin-Campos, age 34, of Norwalk, police said.

Marin-Campos was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was charged with public indecency and breach of peace. 

His bond is set at $25,000.
