NORWALK, Conn. Two Norwalk men were beaten with bats and sticks on Larsen Street late Sunday night by a group of unknown assailants.
Police received a report of the attack from a hysterical-sounding woman. When officers went to the house she was calling from, a man came out with blood on his shirt. He could barely stand, they said, and was taken to Norwalk Hospital for medical attention. Another man came out of the home saying he had been hit on the back with a baseball bat or stick. He declined medical attention.
The caller said the two men had been standing in front of the house when a group of men came up to them and started beating them with bats and sticks. She told police they had no idea who the attackers were or why they were assaulted.
